Wild Harvest Feast

Saturday 5 Oct 2019

It’s Spring Equinox so the sun is over the equator for a short time making the days the same length across the earth. It’s a new season, a time of rebirth and of new life. In the Highlands the bulbs are opening, blossoms are budding and the fields are blooming. It’s a beautiful time and nature calls us outside again after the long cold winter. Known in the pagan calendar as Ostara with roots in the both Celtic and Saxon celebrations, this feast of old centres on the spring goddess who oversees budding plants so we mix both farmed and the foraged wild harvest to create a gastronomic feast with award winning locally matched wines. Part of SMH Good Food Month this is for the serious foodie and wine lover alike.

Dinner on Saturday 5 October 2019 from 5pm until 10pm

After the stand out success of Wild Native Feast at our annual festival, Wildfest, we are delighted to confirm that our signature food event is now part of the Highland Feast Series. Wild Harvest Feast is a combination of award-wining local produce partnered with fresh foraged delights that have been crafted into a 7 course experience. Add top this a remote location on the banks of the Wingecarribee River, a stunning performance by a well known musician as well as transport to and from the event and you have a night to remember.

Dine under the Milky Way in our formal remote wilderness setting listening to live music in our signature Top Hat & Tails, Tiaras and Gloves. Wild Harvest Feast is a celebration of the best mother nature has to offer. This brings a new sense of creativity, authenticity and quality to our menu like never before. And our sommelier has matched each course to local award winning cool-climate wines.

Cost is $345 per person including GST
